 Linking Be & Linking Verbs yaitu kata kerja penghubung yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan antara complement (pelengkap=noun, adjectival phrase, prepositional phrase, adverbial of place, numeral) dengan Subyek (=Noun or Noun Phrase) kalimat pada Kalimat Nomonal. Kalimat nominal adalah kalimat yang predikatnya bukan perbuatan, melainkan: nama, status, keadaan, sifat, tempat, dan lain-lain.

Linking Be memiliki 6 (enam) bentuk, yaitu:
